One of the important changes in the design of last year's iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max was the addition of a titanium frame. This year, Apple will continue to use titanium, but will slightly change the production process.
What to expect
According to a new leak from Korea, Apple will use an improved titanium processing and coloring process. To be more precise, the titanium frame will be polished, which will give it a glossy appearance.
At the same time, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have a titanium frame with a matte surface. Apparently, Apple believes that a shiny frame will make the smartphone design more attractive.
This process is definitely not new: previously, Apple used polished steel in the production of iPhone Pro models from the 12th to the 14th generation. However, users often criticized it: such a surface slips unpleasantly in the hands, collects fingerprints, and scratches quickly and easily. The matte frame, on the other hand, did not encounter such problems.
